Directory on Scientific Instruments Released

The DIRECTORY of scientific instruments and components manufactured in India prepared by CSIO was released by Dr Laxman Prasad, Adviser, Department of Science and Technology, New Delhi, at a function held on CSIO premises, here today

In addition to its research activities, CSIO has been engaged in collection, compilation, analysis and dissemination of information related to scientific instruments and components. This is the fifth edition of the directory of scientific instruments and components manufactured in India.

The directory would also be made available in a CD format. This project was supported by NSTMIS division of Department of Science and Technology, New Delhi.

On the occasion, Dr Pawan Kapur, director of SCIO, said that a mammoth task was carried out by CSIO to create a database related to instrumentation and instruments industry. This directory on scientific instruments and components manufactured in India will go a long way to meet the informational requirements of a very wide spectrum of users ranging from buyers, market researchers, entrepreneurs and policy makers.
