CLOUD SEEDING PROJECT IN MAHARASHTRA

3121. SHRI ANANDRAO V. ADSUL:

Will the Minister of SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY
be pleased to state:

(a) whether the Government has launched Prakalp Varsha a cloud seeding project to
generate artificial rains in Maharashtra;
(b) if so, whether the said project has flopped;
(c) if so, the reasons therefor;
(d) the expenditure incurred on the said project; and
(e) the extent to which the artificial cloud could generate rainfall?
