SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT INSTITUTES
2579. SHRI AHIR VIKRAMBHAI ARJANBHAI MAADAM:

Will the Minister of SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY be pleased to state:

(a) the number of scientific research & development institutes functioning in the country as on date, State-wise;
(b) the funds granted and spent by the Union Government on each of these institutes;
(c) whether the Government proposes to establish more such research institutes in the country;
(d) if so, the details thereof, State-wise; and
(e) the funds earmarked by the Union Government for this purpose?
